January of 2015 I ran the first adult sewing class at Carol Stream Park District in Illinois. So far the ladies are loving the process of learning how to use their sewing machines. The project this month (decided by the ladies) is making pajama pants.
This adult sewing class is designed to help beginners learn how to use a home sewing machine and learn to work with patterns. Clothing is one of the most popular projects for new sewers. Sometimes it is for themselves while other times it may be for a family member. The hardest part is getting over the fear of using the machine. The second part is learning how to buy, cut and sew your patterns. This is what this class is all about.
The good news it’s not too late to join in the fun because this will be an ongoing class with new projects each month. So if you missed out on the deadline to register for January, You can always jump in and register for February.
Don’t live in Carol Stream? Now worries, they take registrations from out of district participants too. Want to know more? Contact Carol Stream Park District.
